Giuseppe Teixeira hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Diego Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrézinho Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dito Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Andrézinho Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stand by's Andrézinho Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Carioca in the 13th minute of play. Andrézinho Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Carioca in the 14th minute of play. Diego Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Duarte having to interfere. Abelardo Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Andrézinho Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Stand by's Diego Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Barcelona Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Romário de Senna came free, but Conrado Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Chico Britto fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stand by's protests and gave Chico Britto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Chico Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrézinho Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Carioca in the 31st minute of play. Chico Britto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Conrado Duarte made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Diego Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário de Senna in the 45th minute of play forced Barcelona Fc's goalkeeper Conrado Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Duarte came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Stand by's Romário de Senna. But to his dismay, Romário de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romário de Senna made a kick off. Chico Britto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Stand by's Andrézinho Salgado got control of the ball when Dito Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dito Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dito Mangueira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Barcelona Fc's Abelardo Carioca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrézinho Salgado. That made the score 1-1 after 69 minutes of play. Stand by's Andrézinho Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Carioca in the 73rd minute of play. Abelardo Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Salgado having to interfere. When Barcelona Fc's Abelardo Carioca in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stand by's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st match minute, Stand by was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Andrézinho Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Stand by supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Barcelona Fc's performance. The match ended with a win for Barcelona Fc.
