Barcelona Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Lençoense's Denílson Couto got control of the ball when Dito Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diamantino Rossi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a left leg Conrado Duarte saved Barcelona Fc from getting behind. Sérgio Veloso scored 1-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrado Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barcelona Fc's Conrado Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona Fc from getting a goal against them. 2-2 became the score in the 77th minute when Abelardo Carioca elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
