With his leg Bebeto de Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Jacuizinho's César Breckenfeld fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rocado EC's Maurinho Velloso pulled a muscle in his leg after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Fiori da Silveira's late challenge caught a Rocado EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fiori da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rocado EC booed when Jacuizinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Rocado EC's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori da Silveira came free, but Bebeto de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Amauri Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. César Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Bebeto de Medeiros made a huge save. If Nando Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Matorin came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Rocado EC's Benedito Jacinto. But to his dismay, Benedito Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 45th minute, Enrique Pirani made a precise shot to the right of Amauri Matorin. Jacuizinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fiori da Silveira was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Rocado EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rocado EC booed when Jacuizinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
