Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcelinho Brasil took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Principe FC's goalkeeper Dudu Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osmar Peres. Tibirica FC's Osmar Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Fred de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Osmar Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jânio de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Tibirica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gernando Albuquerque during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Gernando Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 32 minutes, Marcelinho Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tibirica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 played minutes Principe FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Pitta. Marcelinho Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmar Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Lara having to interfere. Gernando Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Arlindo Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Brasil in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardinho de Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. Principe FC's Bernardinho de Toledo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Principe FC's zone, Osmar Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Lara came out of the goal and Osmar Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelinho Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 66th minute, Principe FC's Bernardinho de Toledo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After 70 minutes, Geovânio do Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Principe FC and the Tibirica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Principe FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Geovânio do Vale hit a great ball. When Tião Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Tibirica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Mendonça couldn't finish the play. After having played for 73 minutes, Osmar Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tibirica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dudu Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Osmar Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Lara having to interfere. Marcelinho Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dudu Lara having to make a save. If Osmar Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gernando Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Arlindo Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Principe FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Tibirica FC side.
