Oeste Anchieta:s Juvenal Sampaio showed great skill when he stopped Vitório de Moraes:s penalty. 23 minutes into the match, Vitório de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Sampaio. Oeste Anchieta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Oeste Anchieta booed when Cumaruma SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Vítor Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Cesinha Valle made a huge save. In the 30th minute, João Vítor Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as João Augusto Alvarenga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesinha Valle. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. João Vítor Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Valle having to interfere. When Cacá Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cumaruma SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacá Gerber couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
