If Hernani Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Marques having to interfere. Luisinho Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agenor Paraense having to interfere. Ulysses Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Santos in the 13th minute. Hernani Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Marques having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Hernani Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulysses Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ulysses Marques made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Hernani Machado made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Hernani Machado sped through Hakuna Matata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ulysses Marques. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Brasil in the 55th minute of play forced Ibiatiara's goalkeeper Agenor Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agenor Paraense having to interfere. Luiz Rosa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Luisinho Brasil struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Agenor Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hakuna Matata.
