After 4 played minutes Tomasina got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Furtado. Ulysses Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Geovânio Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Silveira having to interfere. Ulysses Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Donato in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Geovânio Vargas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itapicuru FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. João Carlos Santana was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Elias Vander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elias Vander really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Vander in the 23rd minute of play forced Itapicuru FC's goalkeeper João Carlos Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Doni Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapicuru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Doni Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Doni Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Edgar Tinoco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses Silveira skillfully saved the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Tomasina's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Donato came free, but Ulysses Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Geovânio Vargas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ulysses Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Tomasina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itapicuru FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. Geovânio Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Carlos Alberto Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomasina's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carlos Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomasina's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Doni Donato scored to the left of an out of position Ulysses Silveira, making the score, 1-4. Geovânio Vargas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulysses Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Itapicuru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Vander came free, but João Carlos Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Linares scored 1-5 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the game, Itapicuru FC's Geovânio Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulysses Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Itapicuru FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tomasina.
