Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jaguaracu's Natanael de Sena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Naldo Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Simões in the 3rd minute. Denílson Macedo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tomasina's zone, Percy Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Silveira came out of the goal and Percy Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 minutes, Ricardinho da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tomasina and the Jaguaracu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Tomasina got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho da Silveira. Jaguaracu's Naldo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Vander in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natanael de Sena in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Silveira saved Tomasina from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Tomasina's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Abreu came free, but Ulysses Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Percy Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Alberto Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Elias Vander made the kick off in the second half. Jaguaracu's Naldo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Simões in the 53rd minute of play. Elias Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Azevedo having to interfere. Ulysses Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natanael de Sena was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Jaguaracu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After recieving a nice pass, Jaguaracu's Dadá Paiva tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Natanael de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percy Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ulysses Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Delfim Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percy Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Natanael de Sena was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Jaguaracu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
