Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when João Francisco Chaves took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ipueirinha's zone, Nico Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Leão came out of the goal and Nico Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, João Francisco Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipueirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Augusto Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Leão having to interfere. José Augusto Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Chaves in the 21st minute of play. When João Francisco Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ipueirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco Chaves couldn't finish the play. Andrézinho Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Nico Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cilandia booed when Ipueirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tostão Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipueirinha's protests and gave Tostão Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cilandia booed when Ipueirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nico Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Washington Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cilandia. Washington Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Armando Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Augusto Goiano having to make a save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldir Abraão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Soeiro in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Washington Leão saved Ipueirinha from getting behind. Dorian Tavares might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Washington Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorian Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the game, Júlio Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipueirinha the free kick. A collision led to Cilandia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Júlio Fernandez hit a great ball. Washington Leão came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Cilandia's Nico Soeiro. But to his dismay, Nico Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Cilandia's Andrézinho Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 70 minutes, Dorian Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cilandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorian Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Washington Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Abraão in the 84th minute of play. If Nico Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Washington Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Cilandia's Waldir Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Washington Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Cilandia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
