The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Magalhães in the 3rd minute of play forced Fc Darkeness's goalkeeper José Maria Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Duarte Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Elder Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Leal lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Reinaldo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. José Maria Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. José Maria Sabóia came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Martelet's Elder Magalhães. But to his dismay, Elder Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Matheus Favoretto's late challenge caught a Martelet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matheus Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Matheus Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Elder Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maria Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 45 minutes into the match, Fc Darkeness's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto Koehler came free, but José Maria Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Monteiro having to interfere. After the first half Martelet were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luizinho Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. Luizinho Medeiros did an outstanding performance 53 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Nelson Monteiro in the goal. Geraldo Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Magalhães in the 59th minute of play forced Fc Darkeness's goalkeeper José Maria Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, José Augusto Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martelet's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Fc Darkeness getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Amílton Vides hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Fc Darkeness's Amílton Vides got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 75 minutes, Geraldo Capixaba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Darkeness and the Martelet players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geraldo Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. José Maria Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Augusto Koehler in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes Fc Darkeness got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Favoretto. Pedrinho Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Martelet booed when Fc Darkeness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Fc Darkeness supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Martelet's performance. The match ended with a win for Martelet.
