Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Angelo França kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Martelet's zone, Angelo França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Monteiro came out of the goal and Angelo França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fabiano Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute Angelo França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Silvério Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauco Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Balsas's Angelo França got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo França, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Angelo França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balsas's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Balsas's Luiz Fábio Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Gomes in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo França in the 43rd minute of play forced Martelet's goalkeeper Nelson Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Luiz Fabiano Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The wind increased when Elder Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. Glauco Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Nelson Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Angelo França sent off a good shot on target. Angelo França came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nelson Monteiro could save by the left post. In the 73rd minute José Augusto Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martelet's Nelson Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Martelet from getting a goal against them. Angelo França struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Nelson Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balsas. After 81st play minutes Angelo França shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Nelson Monteiro and just under the crossbar into goal. Luiz Fábio Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelo França kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nelson Monteiro. That made the score 0-3 in the 87 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo França got free with Nelson Monteiro in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nelson Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Angelo França sent off a good shot on target. Balsas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
