Ruilandia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Ruilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Barbosa came free, but Dinei Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinei Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Vitinho Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Neves having to interfere. Célio Lopez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dinei Neves. Ruilandia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dinei Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Barbosa in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes Ruilandia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fabiano da Mata who took care of the corner kick. Dinei Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Bernardo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Barbosa in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinei Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raí Gaúcho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dinei Neves. Ruilandia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match Luiz Fabiano da Mata shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinei Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Bernardo Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruilandia's Dinei Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abelardo Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Corrêa having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Mandrak was the one to do the kick off. Nilson Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Mandrak in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Ruilandia's Dinei Neves got control of the ball when Bernardo Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curimatau SC's Nilson Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Andrade in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Ruilandia were awarded a corner. Artur Quadros went to the cornerflag to take it. 70 minutes into the game, Bernardo Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curimatau SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruilandia the free kick. In the 70th match minute, Curimatau SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes, Ruilandia's Artur Quadros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nilson Corrêa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ruilandia reached it. Nilson Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Luís Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, one of Ruilandia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ruilandia. The referee gave Curimatau SC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luiz Fabiano da Mata, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ruilandia's Dinei Neves. 0-2. If Abelardo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
