In the 9th minute, Zeca de Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corneliu Cristescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 18th minute when Zeca de Brito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Leonardo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Armando Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Soares got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Armando Massa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Erik Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, mega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Zeca de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as mega's Durval Cardozo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Massa. That made the score 1-3 after 41 minutes of play. Durval Cardozo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Massa having to make a save. The mega players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jaboticabas were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeca de Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When mega's Bruno Soares in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jaboticabas's goalie prevented a goal. Armando Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Soares in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jaboticabas's Erik Hoffmann got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The audience was convinced that Bruno Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Massa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Bruno Soares struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Armando Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for mega. 71 minutes into the match, Jaboticabas's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Cardozo came free, but Armando Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Jaboticabas got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Maciel. In the 82nd minute, Bruno Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Soares in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Massa saved Jaboticabas from getting behind. After 86 played minutes mega got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Machado. A hard shot by Silvinho Moura from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Corneliu Cristescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 91st minute, Erik Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jaboticabas getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Walmir Simão hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jaboticabas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
