The referee showed Dênis Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dênis Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Grêmio Ventura's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Félix came free, but Iuri Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tales Braga in the 24th minute of play forced Grêmio Ventura's goalkeeper Iuri Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tales Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edu Félix to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Grêmio Ventura's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Félix came free, but Iuri Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes of play, Grêmio Ventura's Kauan da Silva made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fernando Messias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grêmio Ventura's Iuri Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Félix in the 72nd minute of play. Iuri Moura was a little too slow when Edu Félix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 80th minute, Edu Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edu Félix in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iuri Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dênis Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Iuri Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grêmio Ventura's Iuri Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Félix in the 86th minute of play. Iuri Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Neves's Edu Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iuri Moura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 98 played minutes Grêmio Ventura got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Soeiro. After recieving a nice pass, Neves's Alex de Toledo tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Neves supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Neves would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
