The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisão Albuquerque was the one to do the kick off. Lino Zanette made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 73 minutes into the match, Iaurare's Pedrinho Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Zanette narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Machacalis's Lino Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Galvão in the 78th minute of play. Válbson Dracena hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Machacalis's zone, Orlando Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Zanette came out of the goal and Orlando Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Giuseppe Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iaurare's protests and gave Giuseppe Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Iaurare getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Giuseppe Montenegro hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
