Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durval de Queirós started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Daniel Pontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cipriano Vander. São Paulo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Pontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Porto Aquiri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Wanderson Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wanderson Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porto Aquiri FC's Percival Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval de Queirós in the 14th minute of play. Cipriano Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Daniel Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Vander having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Lopez got free with Percival Andrade in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Porto Aquiri FC's Rafael Linhares suffered a concussion after 23 minutes and had to leave the field. When Thiago Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo FC's protests and gave Thiago Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. Thiago Rossi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Porto Aquiri FC's Daniel Pontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cipriano Vander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. São Paulo FC's Durval de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilvan Proença hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 42 minutes, Pedrão Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porto Aquiri FC and the São Paulo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Porto Aquiri FC! The referee gave São Paulo FC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rogério Mineiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Porto Aquiri FC's Percival Andrade. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Pontes to make the kick off. Daniel Pontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Vander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Cipriano Vander came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Porto Aquiri FC's Serginho Faria. But to his dismay, Serginho Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Daniel Pontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cipriano Vander having to make a save. In the 64th minute, Arthur Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Cipriano Vander made a huge save. Claudinei Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo FC's zone, Daniel Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Vander came out of the goal and Daniel Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Wanderson Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porto Aquiri FC's Percival Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serginho Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cipriano Vander having to make a save. 87 minutes into the game, Arthur Alagoano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porto Aquiri FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo FC the free kick. After 87 played minutes Porto Aquiri FC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Alagoano. Daniel Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Vander having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Porto Aquiri FC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Alagoano.
