Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastião Simões started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kauã Marinho in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AA Serginho MZC's Germano Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save AA Serginho MZC from getting a goal against them. Conrado Vale hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jairo Arruda, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Germano Sena successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 26th minute, Antônio Carlos Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antônio Carlos Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antônio Carlos Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Germano Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kauã Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Eliseu Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Atlético Carioca's Silvinho Esteves got a free kick in the 44th minute. Manfredo Rosado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseu Martins's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauã Marinho was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Antônio Carlos Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Carioca's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio Carlos Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the AA Serginho MZC defense, Antônio Carlos Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Germano Sena. The AA Serginho MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Germano Sena should have stopped the shot. Kauã Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Germano Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kauã Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Eliseu Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Marinho in the 66th minute of play forced AA Serginho MZC's goalkeeper Germano Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Marquez in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germano Sena saved AA Serginho MZC from getting behind. In the 69thth minute of the game Kauã Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AA Serginho MZC's Germano Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Germano Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of AA Serginho MZC booed when Atlético Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, AA Serginho MZC's Nico Mandrak tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Eliseu Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Eliseu Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. AA Serginho MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Carlos Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Sena having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Décio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Carioca's supporters rose to their feet, but Décio Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Atlético Carioca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
