But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Velasco couldn't finish the play. Ronaldinho de Lima's late challenge caught a Manibu AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldinho de Lima helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Manibu AD booed when Infernao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Igor Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademar Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Infernao's Ademar Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erivaldo Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Manibu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Velasco came free, but Erivaldo Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Zé Roberto Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for William Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Velasco in the 56th minute of play. Erivaldo Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Velasco in the 60th minute of the match. After 62 minutes Manibu AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jânio Moura who took care of the corner kick. In the 66th minute, Leopoldo Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademar Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lauro Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Ribeiro having to interfere. If William Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Infernao's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
