With a little luck, Jansen SS's Caetano Proença got control of the ball when Ademar Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Valdemar Fonseca put in a rough tackle. In the 4th minute, one of Cacimbas EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cacimbas EC. If Pedro Luiz Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás de Lara got free with Caetano Proença in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edson Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Edson Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christiano Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Proença having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiano Magalhães couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Cacimbas EC's Caetano Proença threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedro Luiz Loureiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 44th minute, Christiano Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Cacimbas EC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ciro Sena hit a great ball. Leonel Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Nóbrega having to interfere. Emerson Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovanni Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Loureiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Caetano Proença. Jansen SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Cacimbas EC's Christiano Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caetano Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Proença having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Jansen SS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Loureiro came free, but Caetano Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Baptista hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Jansen SS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Loureiro came free, but Caetano Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christiano Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Christiano Magalhães notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Jansen SS's Caetano Proença. Caetano Proença was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jansen SS were furious when Claudinei Mota was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Narciso Velasco didn't quite understand what happened when in the 90 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Pedro Luiz Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caetano Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luiz Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Christiano Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Caetano Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
