Emerson Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Mangueira having to interfere. Emerson Novaess short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got José Pedro Mangueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. José Pedro Mangueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Cardoso in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anderson Guerra got free with José Pedro Mangueira in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Anderson Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jansen SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Anderson Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro Mangueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulista FC's José Pedro Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Baptista in the 16th minute of play. Paulista FC's José Pedro Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Paulista FC from getting a goal against them. Caetano Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With his leg José Pedro Mangueira managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Jansen SS's Leonel Cardoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 23 played minutes Paulista FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Santana. In the 26th play minute Anderson Guerra came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised José Pedro Mangueira. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Baptista in the 29th minute of play forced Paulista FC's goalkeeper José Pedro Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Pedro Mangueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Novaes in the 30th minute. Anderson Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Paulista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Novaes came free, but José Pedro Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Horácio da Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Leonel Cardoso took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for José Pedro Mangueira to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Novaes made a kick off. José Pedro Mangueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emerson Novaes's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Emerson Novaes put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of José Pedro Mangueira. With a little luck, Jansen SS's Caetano Proença got control of the ball when Jerônimo dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Leonel Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Anderson Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jansen SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anderson Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Paulista FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 89th minute, Anderson Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Pedro Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Baptista in the 90th minute of the match. If Emerson Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Chico Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jansen SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulista FC the free kick. Chico Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jansen SS fully deserved thier win.
