With a little luck, Libertines's Guto Meirelles got control of the ball when Jean Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Yuri de Castro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guto Meirelles. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Sena got free with Guto Meirelles in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Tande in the 12th minute of play forced Libertines's goalkeeper Guto Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes Luzio FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Tande. If Edu Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Libertines's Guto Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Libertines from getting a goal against them. When Edu Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Libertines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edu Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Edu Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Aguiar in the 33rd minute of play forced Luzio FC's goalkeeper Anselmo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Jean Sena could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Guto Meirelles however easily saved by the left post. 39 minutes into the match, Deivid de Andrade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guto Meirelles, 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yuri de Castro in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guto Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luzio FC's Anselmo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Catarinense in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edu Aguiar to make the kick off. Sebastião Dantas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Deivid de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Guto Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamim Sabóia's late challenge caught a Luzio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamim Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid de Andrade in the 62nd minute of play forced Libertines's goalkeeper Guto Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Telmo Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edu Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Guto Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Sena in the 82nd minute of play. When Sebastião Dantas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Libertines's Sebastião Dantas got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Edu Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Túlio Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When Yuri de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luzio FC's protests and gave Yuri de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Yuri de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Maurinho Tande made a precise shot to the right of Guto Meirelles. Libertines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Luzio FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
