Egídio Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeferson Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jeferson Duarte sped through Grandall FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Hoffmann. When Jeferson Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Ijui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Catarinense couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Moreira made a kick off. A collision led to Grandall FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Egídio Paiva hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, Grandall FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Castro to maneuver through the defense. Jerônimo Palmeira's late challenge caught a Grandall FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerônimo Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute Jeferson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ijui's zone, Gernando Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Schmidt came out of the goal and Gernando Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egídio Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Moreira in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Jeferson Catarinense notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Grandall FC's Luiz Eduardo Hoffmann. Luiz Eduardo Hoffmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luiz Eduardo Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Catarinense in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Jeferson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Jerônimo Palmeira suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 93rd minute of the match Egídio Paiva completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Egídio Paiva a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 94th minute, Egídio Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ijui were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
