Doni Munhoz's late challenge caught a Gaivotas da Fiel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Juventus Clube Goianiense! Claudinei Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Trigo in the 15th minute of the match. Claudinei Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Válbson Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. João Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Anderson Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus Clube Goianiense's supporters rose to their feet, but Anderson Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Pirani in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Pedro Paulo do Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juventus Clube Goianiense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaivotas da Fiel the free kick. Pedro Paulo do Vale hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes João Trigo rounded Juventus Clube Goianiense's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. In the 46th match minute, Juventus Clube Goianiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Pirani to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Juventus Clube Goianiense booed when Gaivotas da Fiel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when João Trigo made the kick off in the second half. Válbson Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Claudinei Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When João Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gaivotas da Fiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Trigo couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Gaivotas da Fiel's Válbson Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Anderson Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68thth minute of the game Anderson Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaivotas da Fiel's Ciro Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juventus Clube Goianiense's Claudinei Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Pinheiro in the 69th minute of play. Alexsandro de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Gaivotas da Fiel's goalkeeper Ciro Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulisses Guerra. Anderson Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ciro Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Alexsandro de Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ciro Meireles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Gaivotas da Fiel's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ulisses Guerra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Anderson Pirani scored 3-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ernani Saraiva charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernani Saraiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Válbson Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Trancoso having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Erik Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaivotas da Fiel and the Juventus Clube Goianiense players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Juventus Clube Goianiense booed when Gaivotas da Fiel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Anderson Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus Clube Goianiense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anderson Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudinei Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gaivotas da Fiel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Juventus Clube Goianiense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
