Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Thomás Montenegro made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Valparaiso getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ronaldo da Silva hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Valparaiso's Américo Tasso got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 70th minute, Cyryl Olchowy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu das Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Amorim during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
