Celso Nóbrega was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Pinheiros FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Celso Dias made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Celso Nóbrega sent off a good shot on target. Amauri Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Celso Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaltino Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo da Fonseca having to interfere. Celso Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Negri in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Licio FC booed when Pinheiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Orlando Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Reginaldo da Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Pinheiros FC's Celso Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Celso Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Dias having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Gerber in the 45th minute of play forced Pinheiros FC's goalkeeper Reginaldo da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Amauri Negri made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Amauri Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinheiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amauri Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amauri Negri went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Amauri Negri scored 3-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reginaldo da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Amauri Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Dias having to interfere. Pinheiros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Orlando Gerber scored to the left of an out of position Reginaldo da Fonseca, making the score, 3-2. In the 75th minute, Ezequiel Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amauri Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Celso Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pinheiros FC.
