Fausto Monteiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anísio Paranaense having to make a save. When Paulo Renato Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biguassu EC's protests and gave Paulo Renato Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Biguassu EC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Paulo Renato Camargo hit a great ball. Biguassu EC's Wanderson de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovanni Batista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anísio Paranaense. Biguassu EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ronaldão Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson de Almeida in the 27th minute of the match. Biguassu EC's Paulo Renato Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nildo Secco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Caiana's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ramón Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Wellington do Nascimento sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ronaldão Correia threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Wellington do Nascimento this time. Ronaldão Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Caiana got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Monteiro. After a defensive mix-up in Caiana's zone, Wanderson de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Correia came out of the goal and Wanderson de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th play minute Wanderson de Almeida came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldão Correia. 3-1. 86 minutes into the match, Caiana's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Camargo came free, but Ronaldão Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Biguassu EC's Anísio Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Secco in the 91st minute of play.
