Arvoresinha's Lino Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Romero in the 73rd minute of play. Juvenal Romero took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lino Dante. Lino Dante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. João Carlos Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vivaldo Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Juvenal Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Dante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Nelsinho França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
