A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Juvenal Romero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vermelhos's João Augusto da Cunha. João Augusto da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Galvão couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto da Cunha having to interfere. João Augusto da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Romero in the 69th minute of play. Juvenal Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto da Cunha having to interfere. Gil AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
