Jerônimo Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the match, Tapecu's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Gerber came free, but Iuri Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Iuri Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Zamaicare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christiano Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christiano Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tapecu getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Christiano Neiva hit a great ball. Hermínio Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Iuri Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Gerber was the one to do the kick off. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
