Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Flávio Gerber started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Almendra's Tadeu Baiano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tadeu Baiano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Almendra protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tadeu Baiano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Flávio Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Donato having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Correia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Iuri Godoi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luiz Fabiano Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Iuri Godoi made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Afonsinho Arósio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Almendra's João Vítor Donato. João Vítor Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adolfo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Iuri Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiano Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Zé Augusto Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Luiz Fabiano Correia came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Almendra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Correia couldn't finish the play. Flávio Mattos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iuri Godoi came out and tried to block the shot, but Flávio Mattos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fabiano Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Flávio Gerber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Vítor Donato, 1-2. A hard shot 63 in the game by Afonsinho Arósio from a close distance when the talented João Vítor Donato managed to make a qualified save. Almendra's players were relieved. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes in the game, Flávio Gerber dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 73rdth minute of the game Flávio Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almendra's João Vítor Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 played minutes Tapecu got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Rosa. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Afonsinho Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapecu's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonsinho Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Vítor Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonsinho Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonsinho Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Flávio Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Tapecu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tapecu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
