Felippe Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Berger having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Pirangussu EC's Magno Sena tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Educa Facção Esporte Club getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Acácio Nascimento hit a great ball. Pedro Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Baptista in the 14th minute of play. Pirangussu EC's Felippe Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Felippe Travassos in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Educa Facção Esporte Club defense, Felippe Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Berger. The Educa Facção Esporte Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Berger should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Felippe Travassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Berger was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Magno Sena hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. José Augusto Sergipano shot from long distance in the 30th minute, but Mário Barral was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Leonardo Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mário Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, one of Pirangussu EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Educa Facção Esporte Club. José Augusto Sergipano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mário Barral. 1-2. In the 40th match minute, Pirangussu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Leandro Dionísio took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mário Barral. Mário Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felippe Travassos was the one to do the kick off. Felippe Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Pedro Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Tande took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mário Barral. Mário Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. If Luís Fernando Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Pirangussu EC got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Azevedo. 81 minutes into the match, Educa Facção Esporte Club's José Augusto Sergipano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 96 played minutes Felippe Travassos rounded Educa Facção Esporte Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-3. Pirangussu EC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
