Bruno Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute Bruno Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Lopes having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Ajacio SC's Zézinho Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Guilherme Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Maicon Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anísio Senna, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 20th minute Artur de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Cutiu defense, Zézinho Peres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Guilherme Lopes. The Cutiu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Guilherme Lopes should have stopped the shot. Bruno Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Cutiu's Bruno Vides sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Messias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gilberto de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Bruno Vides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Messias was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 38 played minutes Ajacio SC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Ortiz. Gilberto de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gabriel Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Ajacio SC got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Santos. In the 43rd minute, Gilberto de Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Messias was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Vides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gilberto de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Messias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Vides in the 56th minute. When Bruno Vides came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cutiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Vides couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes in the game, Bruno Vides fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gabriel Messias having to interfere. Zézinho Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Guilherme Lopes having to make a save. Artur de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Lopes having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Ajacio SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cutiu's Aloísio Valladares tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Oswaldo Santos's late challenge caught a Cutiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Santos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ajacio SC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Oswaldo Santos hit a great ball. Bruno Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Messias having to interfere. When Cutiu's Bruno Vides in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ajacio SC's goalie prevented a goal. If Bruno Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Ajacio SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Santos to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Bruno Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cutiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Gilberto de Carvalho sped through Ajacio SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Messias. Bruno Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Vides in the 95th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edson Ortiz during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cutiu booed when Ajacio SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ajacio SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cutiu had controlled the match.
