Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guga do Nascimento kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Guerra during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of New Name booed when Abico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Abico got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Cavalcante. Abico's Jeremias Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga do Nascimento in the 20th minute of play. Luciano Guerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Valdemar do Nascimento when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abico's Arí Marinho took a good shot, in the 31st minute, which hit the crossbar above Valdemar do Nascimento's head, and flew over the goal. New Name's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Abico. Valdemar do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Haroldo Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Guerra was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Abico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half New Name were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in New Name's zone, Délio Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar do Nascimento came out of the goal and Délio Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Pedro Sena came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jeremias Barreto could save by the left post. Jeremias Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Sena in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Luciano Guerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valdemar do Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdemar do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Guerra in the 65th minute of the match. Luciano Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdemar do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Guga do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Guga do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Barreto having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Abico's Luciano Guerra made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in New Name's zone, Luciano Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jeremias Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the New Name players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Abico.
