The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudinho Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Tinoco in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerônimo da Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Brasil Team FC's zone, Telmo Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Cordeiro came out of the goal and Telmo Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Telmo Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Cordeiro having to interfere. Claudinho Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Pereira in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Tinoco in the 18th minute of play forced GALO DE MINAS's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Mathias Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. GALO DE MINAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Brasil Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Moraes came free, but Claudinho Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Claudinho Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Pereira in the 28th minute of play. Claudinho Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Moraes in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Pereira in the 36th minute of play forced Brasil Team FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Telmo Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the GALO DE MINAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Pereira couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Guilherme Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GALO DE MINAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Brasil Team FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GALO DE MINAS were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélder Tinoco made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Guilherme Moraes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Claudinho Cordeiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Guilherme Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Telmo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Brasil Team FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Raimundo Barbosa hit a great ball. Guilherme Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Cordeiro having to interfere. Hélder Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo da Costa having to interfere. If Telmo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
