After a defensive mix-up in Ipumirim's zone, Gugu Hames stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Rossi came out of the goal and Gugu Hames tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Osvaldinho Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ipumirim booed when Erecatu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Erecatu EC's zone, Vânderson Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Trancoso came out of the goal and Vânderson Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Jano Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Saraiva in the 57th minute. Diego Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gugu Hames's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Rossi was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vânderson Ramos in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the game, one of Erecatu EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 86 minutes into the match, Ipumirim's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Hames came free, but Osvaldinho Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Erecatu EC's Adriano Saraiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Vânderson Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Erecatu EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
