After a rather tough play, Erecatu EC's Bernardo Valladares got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Yan Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarapuhy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Marquez having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gugu Hames in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Marquez saved Sarapuhy from getting behind. Frédson Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Erecatu EC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Sarapuhy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luisinho Dantas took the corner. Gugu Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lauro do Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 36 minutes in the game, Gugu Hames fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jardel Marquez having to interfere. Yan Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Trancoso having to interfere. Manoel Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manoel Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luiz Fabiano Loyola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jardel Marquez. Sarapuhy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adriano Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Marquez having to interfere. Adriano Saraiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jardel Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Jardel Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Hames, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gugu Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jardel Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Sarapuhy got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Guimarães. The audience was convinced that Gugu Hames's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jardel Marquez was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Jardel Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Hames in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Gugu Hames left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erecatu EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sarapuhy's zone, Adriano Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Marquez came out of the goal and Adriano Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Sarapuhy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Erecatu EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
