Hélio Andrade struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Walmir Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tauna. Thomás Lopes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Ibipetum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tauna:s goal. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Tauna. Américo Cearense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Walmir Mangueira. 0-1. A collision led to Tauna getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Téo Brasil hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Simões in the 26th minute of play forced Ibipetum's goalkeeper Walmir Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tauna booed when Ibipetum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomás Lopes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Falcão Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Délio da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Kaká Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibipetum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tauna the free kick. In the 35th minute, Kaká Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ibipetum's Walmir Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Andrade in the 36th minute of play. Hélio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Mangueira having to interfere. Allan Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Walmir Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibipetum's Walmir Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Simões in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Téo Brasil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tauna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibipetum the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Tauna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Brasil to maneuver through the defense.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibipetum's goalkeeper Walmir Mangueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 55 minutes Ibipetum's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Américo Cearense who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in André Luís Correia heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 61st minute, Américo Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Falcão Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hélio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Mangueira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Allan Simões showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 68 minute of play. Tauna's Délio da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Cardozo in the 72nd minute of play. Ibipetum were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Tauna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Donato Nogueira took the corner. In the 76th minute Falcão Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Mangueira came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Tauna's Hélio Andrade. But to his dismay, Hélio Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tauna's Délio da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Negri in the 82nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Tauna's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Negri came free, but Délio da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ibipetum supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tauna's performance. The match ended with a win for Tauna.
