After a rather tough play, Guaxupe's Matheus Batista got a free kick in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Valdir Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dagoberto Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes in the game, Caio de Godoy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eusébio Sabóia having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Eusébio Sabóia, was totally fooled by Arassoiaba's Guilherme Donato, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eusébio Sabóia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caio de Godoy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. If Matheus Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dagoberto Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Batista in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arassoiaba fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guaxupe had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
