After having played for 5 minutes, Décio Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cedrolina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Décio Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cedrolina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando de Sena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 71 played minutes Ocara got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Soares. Ocara's Orlando de Sena suffered a sore thigh after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 78th match minute, Cedrolina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Marco Abreu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Joélson Bueno sent off a good shot on target. Joélson Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Abreu having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Délio Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. If Décio Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Fontes in the 98th minute of play forced Ocara's goalkeeper Hermínio Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
