Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Patrício Tróia got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Itabi getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Edmundo Dantas hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Valle got free with Zé Pedro Albuquerque in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th minute, Patrício Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Araguaiana's Hugo Jacinto got a free kick in the 6th minute. César Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Albuquerque having to interfere. Patrício Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evaristo de Lara hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Itabi's goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Tróia came free, but Zé Pedro Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. César Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Zé Pedro Albuquerque made a huge save. In the 14th match minute, Itabi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Braga to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Severo took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Acácio Senna. Acácio Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vivaldo Vieira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Pedro Albuquerque. Itabi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Acácio Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aírton de Amorim's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Aírton de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Senna having to interfere. Adhemar Donato was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 37th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Itabi's Haroldo Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute of the match Itabi got a corner. Araguaiana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adhemar Donato ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Araguaiana's goalie and right to Gerson Hoffmann. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Araguaiana's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Aírton de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Itabi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Aírton de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Acácio Senna made a huge save. After 57 played minutes, Itabi's Evaristo de Lara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Senna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itabi reached it. In the 60th minute, Aírton de Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Acácio Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Araguaiana's Acácio Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Araguaiana from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the match, Araguaiana's Patrício Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Pedro Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Valle in the 75th minute of play forced Itabi's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Itabi getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Paulinho Braga hit a great ball. Zé Pedro Albuquerque came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Araguaiana's Patrício Tróia. But to his dismay, Patrício Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 83 minutes, Adhemar Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itabi and the Araguaiana players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Itabi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Araguaiana:s goal. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Araguaiana. Raí Antunes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zé Pedro Albuquerque. 2-2. Haroldo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Senna having to interfere. César Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Haroldo Severo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
