In the 4th minute, Ciro Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias de Souza, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Laércio Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nando Chaves's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Nando Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tobi SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Chaves couldn't finish the play. Nando Chaves took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laércio Alves. Laércio Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hamílton Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Laércio Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laércio Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Dadá do Vale lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated André Luiz Quadros. Nando Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Laércio Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hamílton Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobi SC's André Luiz Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Matorin in the 39th minute of play. Nando Chaves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laércio Alves having to make a save. With a little luck, Tobi SC's André Luiz Quadros got control of the ball when Dadá do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Laércio Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Veloso in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Juquiquera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Hermes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Hamílton Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tobi SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamílton Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laércio Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nando Chavess short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Laércio Alves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dadá do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Dadá do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nando Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Laércio Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Juquiquera's Ciro Bittencourt got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Tobi SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá do Vale came free, but André Luiz Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nando Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laércio Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Dadá do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luiz Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá do Vale in the 92nd minute of play forced Tobi SC's goalkeeper André Luiz Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Hermes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Laércio Alves made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Nando Chaves sent off a good shot on target. Juquiquera succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tobi SC had controlled the match.
