Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Souzas SC's Cido Nóbrega started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Loureiro in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrézinho de Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hamílton Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamílton Guimarães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Macuco SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Souzas SC:s goal. 14 minutes into the match, Souzas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Duarte came free, but Andrézinho de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Macuco SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Queirós to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Geovani Couto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rodolfo Romero, passed just outside the right post. If Ronaldo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovani Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rodolfo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Ronaldo Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ronaldo Duarte made the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Andrézinho de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macuco SC. Adalberto Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Souzas SC's Roger Gonçalves got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Adalberto Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrézinho de Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adalberto Loureiro in the 68th minute. After 76 minutes, Lucas Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Souzas SC and the Macuco SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Lucas Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Macuco SC's Jonas Zonta tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Souzas SC's Andrézinho de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Duarte in the 79th minute of play. Ronaldo Duarte had several of the Souzas SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Andrézinho de Alcântara as he didn't even see the shot coming. Macuco SC's Rodolfo Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Nóbrega in the 86th minute of play.
