Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roberto Ortiz kicked off to start the match. After 9 played minutes Currais SS got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Macedo. In the 10th minute, Márcio de Alcântara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Currais SS's Simão Novaes didn't even have to move. If Ronaldinho Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Igataua SC's Paulinho Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simão Novaes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mazinho Freire was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jeferson Motta. Currais SS's Roberto Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thiago Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mazinho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A hard shot by Nando Valladares from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Mazinho Freire's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Ortiz in the 31st minute of play forced Igataua SC's goalkeeper Mazinho Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Marquez in the 34th minute of play. Simão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Paulinho Marquez struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Simão Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Igataua SC. Ronaldinho Mandrak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Novaes having to make a save. The Currais SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Igataua SC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldinho Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Paulinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igataua SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Ronaldinho Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Paulinho Urbano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Igataua SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Currais SS the free kick. Paulinho Urbano hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Igataua SC's Oswaldo Monteiro got a free kick in the 65th minute. Paulinho Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Novaes having to interfere. Mazinho Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Rosado in the 85th minute of play. Igataua SC's Mazinho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Rosado in the 87th minute of play.
