Igataua SC's Paulinho Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Soturna AD's José Vítor Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Mandrak in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Monteiro in the 16th minute of play forced Soturna AD's goalkeeper José Vítor Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Igataua SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Freitas came free, but Mazinho Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredão Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredão Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazinho Freire having to make a save. Yan França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mazinho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulinho Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes in the game, Ronaldinho Mandrak fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without José Vítor Penha having to interfere. José Vítor Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulinho Marquez in the 39th minute. José Vítor Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulinho Marquez went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute, Oswaldo Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredão Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yan França who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Mazinho Freire when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ronaldinho Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. José Vítor Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Alfredão Freitas rounded Igataua SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. If Marquinhos Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Igataua SC's Fellipe Valle got a free kick in the 91st minute. Alfredão Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mazinho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfredão Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
