After a defensive mix-up in Frois FC's zone, Doni Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Paranaense came out of the goal and Doni Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, Gugu Berger notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Frois FC's Hortêncio Paranaense. Hortêncio Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alex Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alfredo Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Extrato's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Sena came free, but Alfredo Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Sena in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Extrato's Belmiro Toscano got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Frois FC booed when Extrato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Percy Santana came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Frois FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percy Santana couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Sena in the 40th minute of play. Hortêncio Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Secco in the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Frois FC's Jonathan Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half Extrato were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Frois FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Reginaldo Linhares hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Rafael Secco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Percy Santana struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Alfredo Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frois FC. Alfredo Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Sena in the 60th minute of play. Alex Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Mazza having to interfere. Frois FC's Hortêncio Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Frois FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Extrato booed when Frois FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
