Kauã Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Kauã Barral scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hortêncio Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Lucas in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Clemente Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oratorio's Percy Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Oratorio from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, Perivaldo Zilles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marrocos EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oratorio the free kick. The audience was convinced that Kauã Barral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Leite was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Clemente Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
