After 6 played minutes Rinconada got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Arósio. After some careless play in the Rinconada defense, Dedê Prata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediberto Paraíba. The Rinconada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediberto Paraíba should have stopped the shot. With his leg Márcio Andrade managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Rinconada's Wágner Silveira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Rinconada booed when Queimadinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Prata couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the game, Queimadinha's Emerson Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ediberto Paraíba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Rinconada's Alexandre Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Márcio Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Salgado in the 57th minute of play. Wágner Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Andrade having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Alexandre Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rinconada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Queimadinha's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Matos came free, but Márcio Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rinconada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Renan de Azevedo in the 72nd minute. After taking down the ball on Rinconada's corner Renan de Azevedo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Márcio Andrade quite easily take care of the ball. Wágner Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dedê Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, Rinconada's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Prata came free, but Ediberto Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Peixoto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Ediberto Paraíba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ediberto Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Dedê Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Queimadinha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
