Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Raphael Vides made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Sapopema's zone, Tibúrcio Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Miranda came out of the goal and Tibúrcio Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tibúrcio Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Catuira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibúrcio Marquez couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Tibúrcio Marquez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dalmo Miranda, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Catuira's zone, Raphael Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Amaral came out of the goal and Raphael Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sapopema's Dalmo Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Sapopema from getting a goal against them. Baltazar Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Amaral having to interfere. When Sapopema's Sydney Martins in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catuira's goalie prevented a goal. Sydney Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Sapopema:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Catuira:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tibúrcio Marquez made the kick off in the second half. When Raphael Vides came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Sapopema fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Vides couldn't finish the play. Alfredinho de Amorim hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Teodoro Donato in the 62nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Baltazar Amaral's left hand side. Ademir Recife's late challenge caught a Sapopema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Recife helped the player get up and apologised. Sydney Martins struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Baltazar Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sapopema. Alfredinho de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Catuira getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ricardinho Garcia hit a great ball. Raphael Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Baltazar Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sydney Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Raphael Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Martins in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baltazar Amaral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Catuira's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
