After 21 played minutes Araguari FC got a freekick which was hit by Sabino Goiano. Telmo Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Maia in the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Araguari FC's Nilmar Maia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Telmo Macedo. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. 32 minutes into the match, Marcus Silveira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Araguari FC's Umberto Pinho. Umberto Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcus Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Pinho having to interfere. Umberto Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilmar Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Luiz Paulo Sarmento made the kick off in the second half. Clóvis Arruda took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Macedo. Telmo Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Maia in the 60th minute of play forced Itanhomi's goalkeeper Telmo Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clóvis Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Macedo having to interfere. Percival Alves's late challenge caught a Araguari FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percival Alves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Araguari FC booed when Itanhomi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telmo Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Maia in the 66th minute of the match. Itanhomi's Percival Alves got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Percival Alves off the ground. Marcus Silveira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Umberto Pinho firmly grabbed it by the left post. Telmo Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Arruda in the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Araguari FC's Nilmar Maia got a free kick in the 79th minute. A collision led to Itanhomi getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ian Negri hit a great ball. Daniel Matorin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Telmo Macedo. Itanhomi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcus Silveira struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Umberto Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itanhomi. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
