Telmo Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armazem AD. After a rather tough play, Itanhomi's Natanael Machado got a free kick in the 5th minute. Cauã Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natanael Machado hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Álvaro Souza came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Armazem AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Souza couldn't finish the play. Davi Maciel made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Marcus Silveira sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute Álvaro Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Marcus Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Álvaro Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute Cauã Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauã Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Telmo Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Álvaro Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armazem AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílton Ortiz during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amílton Ortiz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Tasso in the 48th minute of play forced Itanhomi's goalkeeper Telmo Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeca Tasso to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Itanhomi's Marcus Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Davi Maciel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Davi Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Zeca Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. João Pedro Valle's late challenge caught a Itanhomi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Pedro Valle helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Itanhomi a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Natanael Machado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Armazem AD's Davi Maciel. 1-0. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armazem AD's goalkeeper Davi Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cauã Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Telmo Macedo made a huge save. Telmo Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeca Tasso in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Armazem AD's zone, Marcus Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Maciel came out of the goal and Marcus Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Paulo Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davi Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Silveira in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Itanhomi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Negri to maneuver through the defense. Itanhomi's Telmo Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Tasso in the 85th minute of play. Marcus Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Davi Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeca Tasso in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Itanhomi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
